Free Ipod Songs

IPods and Mp3 music players are all the rage these days. If you enjoy listening to music and don’t own some sort of music playing device, you are behind with the times. It’s sad, but sometimes true. If you do own one, however, you probably have a huge library of music. On the other hand, you may be looking for something new. You also may or may not be willing to pay for it. You may also be wondering, where can I get free music online?

Well, that’s a tough question to answer. There are definitely resources out there, but they’re not always easy to find. Things like copyright issues and availability get in the way. You will find plenty of music downloading sites, but they usually come with some type of subscription model.

The easiest place to start is Google. However, you really have to sort through the link and do some extra work and research to figure out where the good stuff is. I can almost guarantee that if you do it this way at first, you may not find what you are looking for the first time around.

Fortunately, for you, the avid music listener, I have a solution. I will give you a sampling of sites you can check out. However, they might not have everything you want. It doesn’t hurt to try, so I’ll list some examples for you.

Last.fm – These is a popular social-networking radio site that lets you scribble music you are listening to and then it plays music based off your listening habits. It’s a great service, it’s also free. They also have tons of free music downloads available with no strings attached. You simply make a free account and can start browsing. Look for the “download” tags next to the songs.

Amazon.com – Believe it or not, Amazon mp3 offers free song downloads once in a while. They’re hard to find, and it’s limited, but if you go to amazonmp3.com and look for the free songs link at the bottom of the page, you’ll find a list of songs that are free to download.

Mp3raid.com – Another site filled with free mp3 downloads. Kind of claustrophobic with links splattered all over the place, but the free music is definitely there. Click on the links and follow the directions.

These are just a few sites that offer free music downloads. There are plenty more out there but you really have to search for them.  Good luck and happy listening!
